I remember this huge beech from my childhood, when the tree had several very long, low horizontal boughs that myself and my brothers used to swing from and climb on- great fun ! Sadly these boughs either broke or fell off some years ago , but I still enjoy regular visits to the beech to marvel at it's great age, size and character. Steve Young
Since the 2011 photo that I took of this beech, the remaining three boughs have fallen, leaving a rotting, dead stump
